At the Grateful Dogs‘ 10th Anniversary Party last Wednesday, Heidi, the German Shepherd whose job hunting experience in Hollywood has been chronicled by her “mom” Diane Haithman of the LA Times, paid us a visit with her “dad”, Alan Feldstein. Diane had informed me earlier that she wasn’t going to be able to attend the event, so I was not expecting to see Heidi. At one point during the evening, while I was taking a breather from photographing pooches (but still sitting on the floor, pooch-level), Alan tapped me on the shoulder and introduced himself as “Heidi’s dad”. I was thinking to myself, “Heidi who?” On cue, Heidi perked her ears up and put her face right next to mine as if to say, “me! me! Heidi. Remember?” That definitely put a big smile on my face. She gave me a couple of nice nuzzles and proceeded to stand quitely next to me and watched me work for the next few minutes. Alan took notice of the large print of Heidi’s ears I had on display at the party and took a photo of it for Diane’s blog. You can read the blog here:
