about the founder and photographer

Andy with his dog Louie

Andy with his dog Louie

Southern California based photographer Andy Sheng is a film industry veteran whose works as a Technical Director and FX Supervisor included box office hits such as Babe, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (click here for the full credit list). In 2008, Andy decided to take a break from his successful career in the film industry to start Otis & Lucy Photography, a business that combines his two true passions in life: photography and animals. Andy’s goal is to create lasting impressions of animals through artistic photographs that will stand the test of time.

The El Segundo photography studio is named after Andy’s first dog, Otis, and Otis’ best friend, Lucy. Both dogs are no longer with us, but their spirits live on and provide daily inspiration for the photographer.

Andy’s work can be found in many magazines, books and on commercial web sites, as well as product packaging. Andy also regularly contributes his time and photography expertise to local animal shelters and rescue organizations, including spcaLA and Best Friends Animal Society.
